 CV

Rebecca Bujnowski (*1990) is an independent artist who has been focusing intensively on ceramic and sculptural works since 2015.

Her artistic practice revolves around the exploration of abstract forms, with the circle playing a central role in her sculptural and relief-based pieces. Since 2020, she has been working in her studio in Bottrop, equipped with a kiln, where she develops both sculptural and relief ceramics.

Her work is a continuous engagement with the materiality of clay, the processes of firing, and the surface treatments shaped by glazes, engobes, and color bodies.

In November 2024, Rebecca Bujnowski presented her first solo exhibition, Abstract Circles, at the Museumszentrum Quadrat Bottrop, with a strong focus on her ceramic practice.

The exhibition showcased ceramic sculptures and reliefs, accompanied by two video works that contrasted the static nature of ceramics with moving, digital elements. This solo exhibition marked a significant milestone in her artistic development, highlighting her distinctive approach to ceramic art.

Alongside her artistic work, Rebecca Bujnowski is actively involved in art education.

Through projects such as Kultur und Schule and Artists in the Kindergarten, as well as the integrative art project INTEGRA, she emphasizes working with ceramics as a central medium.

She encourages children, young people, and adults to engage creatively with clay, firing techniques, and ceramic design. In these projects, she brings her expertise in ceramics to the forefront, using the material to inspire participants to develop their artistic expressions.

Rebecca Bujnowski is a member of the Bottrop Artists’ Collective.

She regularly exhibits her work, including annual exhibitions at the Museumszentrum Quadrat Bottrop since 2022, the Kulturkirche Heilig Kreuz, and The Artspace Bottrop. Other notable exhibitions include her participation at the Galleria Arsoluta in Bologna and the group exhibition during the Contemporary Art Week in Rome.
